The Givenchy Spring 2010 Ready To Wear collection is feminine, wearable, and is what we all want! Riccardo Tisci gave us comfortable chic with the cutting, the embroidery, the layering, the pleating, and the draping. This is indeed a fabulous collection for trendsetters and is expected to sell very well!
The lack of colors in this spring collection is more than made up for by the variety of patterns and materials in the clothing, bags, and shoes: optical black and white, optical animal print, and optical camouflage prints. The materials used in the clothes included knits, jersey, georgette, tulle, charmeuse, viscose, cotton, and leather. The shapes of the clothing were Arabian draped dresses, Morrocan (harem) trousers, pleated skirts, comfortable jumpsuits, loose-fitting shirts, short-front long-back jackets, and patterned leggings with high wedged calf sandals/booties.
There was a lack of jewelry on the runway models, but there is an interesting collection of bracelets and necklaces which you can buy. There is also a larger selection of handbags that goes with this spring collection (- see the bottom of this post for shopping information).
