Casual Elegance - Haider Ackermann Spring 2010 Ready To Wear

Haider Ackermann's Spring 2010 Ready To Wear collection has some similarities to his Fall 2009 collection. This time, although the clothes were somber, there were also some outfits in refreshing golden yellow, romantic ice-steel blue, and luxurious midnight blue. The spring clothes and looks were softer, more feminine, and more alluring. Haider Ackermann delivered casual elegance in these ensembles. The knots, the wrapping and the criss-crossing of fabric and leather created a nonchalant throw-on look. Yet, the soft leather and sheets of silk gave the clothes a rich and refined aura. On the runway, the cutaways and wraps were more daring: exposing backs, shoulders, thighs, legs, breasts provoking a stunned audience. Dare I say that if Ackermann's Fall collection was made for Tilda Swinton, then this spring collection is for Charlize Theron (remember the Dior commercial?)!.
